Derek is the current King of the Quokkas who were first described by Dutch sea captain Willem de Vlamingh, who reported finding “a kind of rat as big as a cat.” The squeamish seaman named the quokkas’ island Ratte nest (“rat’s nest”), then sailed away. Be warned Derek is very loyal and will mess you up if you cross him or threaten his family, please do not worry folks he really has a soft and gentle side. Handsome and rugged he really is the Mac Daddy of all Quokkas.
